CAF training is available for all practitioners working with children and young people. The training consists of an e-learning module followed by a half day face-to-face training session. The e-learning module covers: Introduction to the Common Assessment Framework, Information Sharing and Lead Professional. It is a pre-requisite that the e-learning module is completed prior to attending the training session.
Lead professional training is available for practitioners who have attended CAF training but have not yet embedded CAF into their practices. This training covers the role of the Lead Professional and forming Team Around the Child meetings.

There is no charge for training except when a cancellation/non attendance charge applies. If you apply for a course, please keep the date free in your diary so you are able to attend for the whole session. If you cannot attend the course you must let the Early Intervention Team know immediately on 01623 433291. Early cancellation of a place then gives other colleagues who wish to attend, the opportunity to do so. A charge of £30 will be made for non-attendance, unless we are given at least 24 hours notice of cancellation; or non-completion of the e-learning module within 6 weeks of the training date. Failure to give at least 24 hours notice of non-attendance prior to the start of the training and non-completion of the e-learning module within 6 weeks of the training date will incur a charge of £40.
