Minerals Local Plan

The Minerals Local Plan will set out our overall approach to future minerals provision in Nottinghamshire upto 2030. Key issues will include the amount of mineral we will need to produce to meet demand, the location of future sites and the social and environmental impacts of mineral working.

The plan will need to go through a series of informal and formal public consultation stages and finally an independent examination before it can be adopted by the County Council.

Current progress

The first stage of consultation on the Minerals Local Plan closed on the 30th March. We would like to thank everyone who responded to the consultation. If you would like to view the representations duly made you may do so by looking for responses to each question via the interactive Local Development Framework for Minerals Local Plan

What will happen next?

Over the coming months we will be working through the large volume of consultation responses and from these we will develop our preferred approach document.

We currently expect to publish the preferred approach document for public consultation in autumn 2012.

If you wish to view the comments that have been received you can find them using our online consultation system. Please note it could take some time before all the comments have been uploaded.

The documents and background information from the first stage of consultation can be found on our previous consultations page.
